Being able to make anyone laugh within five minutes of meeting them really sums up how I get through life. I am very forward once I meet someone and describe myself as having a lack of brain to mouth filter. If I think something is going to be amusing, I will probably do it, sometimes to the detriment of my physical well-being and/or wallet.

I finished my MBA back in June (yes, I am directly responsible for any financial hardship you have encountered in the past two years; no, I will not give you your money back) and moved back to DC to be close to my friends and family. I've been to a lot of different parts of the world and learned a lot of random things, so I'm pretty useful to have around for pub trivia, until I decide to make it full contact. Besides my sense of humor, I'm a very laid back, low stress guy and I'm up for pretty much anything. In my spare time, I run, read and I just started to teach myself to play guitar. Recently I started volunteering for the National Park Service as a trail steward. I'm looking forward to abusing my park credentials in all my dealings with the police. I also just picked up my first DSLR camera and am enjoying pretending to be artsy by taking blurry closeups of my shoes. They represent man's oppression of nature. Or that I have big feet.

I spend a lot of time with my friends and we are all social drinkers. I go out a lot, but I have no problem spending a night in just watching movies, eating take out, and braiding each others' hair (good luck, my jewfro is fierce).

I've hiked in the Himalayas, night spear-fished in the Amazon, scuba the Great Barrier Reef. Caught festivals in New Orleans, Telluride, Berkshires. Discovered Canaan valley and the Purple Fiddle. Still run hoops with the youngsters, mid weekday to boot. Have a great friend from kindergarten. Can't wait to see where I'll be next...especially with dating.

Being lucky, polite and funny has taken me far. Great family, friends, home, job, etc.

I like good food, good music, good wine, good beer, and a good board game. You could catch me taking a weekend getaway, going to a concert, hitting a nice local festival, dancing, or even karaoke. I came down to DC eight years ago for school and just kind of stuck around. I have a job I love, good friends, an adorable dog, and I just moved out to a great neighborhood in Bethesda (i'm a smaller town guy trapped in city life). Now I just need to find someone to enjoy life with.

I'm in a strange place right now. By all accounts, I ought to be a very serious and responsible adult right now, but a good part of me feels that the weight of the real world is a hassle that I just don't want to handle right now. I am a very spontaneous and live-for-the-moment sort of individual, which isn't always conducive with being successful in today's society. However, after having a few months to relax and get the stress of four years of college out of my system, I've started taking a more serious outlook on things, and hope to be making a lovely daily commute sometime in the near future =P

I'm a recent transplant into DC, sort of. I grew up right outside the city, but being stuck in suburbia didn't really give me much of a taste for things. Then I went off to college, gained a good deal of regard for personal freedom, and now I am back in the area, taking a break from work to figure out where I want to take my life. I really want to get to experience the city firsthand in a fun sort of way, particularly the night life.

I am very much a night owl, perhaps even bordering on insomnia at times. It isn't the most convenient difficulties to have, but it gives me plenty of time alone to just think. I often feel that I am a bit of a recluse, though lately I've managed to get out more and have found the joys of night time adventures in the local area.

The way I think about things sometimes is absolutely ridiculous. I've had the tendency to say the most cynical and jaded things before, yet still manage to maintain a mostly positive and cheerful outlook on life. Quite strange, no?

Like I said I just moved here so Im new to the area and spend time wondering through town trying to find my way. I just started working as a host at a restaurant. This like my first time working in one and its pretty good.Im a male nanny. I watch my 7 and 5 yr old nephews and my 10 month walking niece. so you will probably see me walking around with one or all three of the kids when they arent in school or the weekends if im not working.

Im a very happy person. Im always laughing, smiling and trying to get other people to do the same especially when they are upset or just bored. I usually have a smile on my face when you see me. Love all types of music. I used to play in drum crops so i can play musicial instruments. If Im not talking to someone you can probably hear me humming different songs that i know. Im still learning and trying new things. Since I have been coming up here before I moved I have been trying to learn to ice skate. I didnt really get to do that in Georgia since it hardly snows. Im really open to learning new things so please go easy on me if your teaching me something.

I like watching movies. I do not true favorite type because when i was in high school I used to work in a movie theater so im can sit and watch any movie and enjoy myself. Im also do at remembering storylines about a movie or quotes.

I graduate this May from medical school, and have been accepted to OB/GYN residency in the DC area. What can I say; I fell in love with delivering babies and being part of one of the greatest moments in people's lives.

In undergrad I minored in Art, and still Paint, sketch, and do some photography. More of a hobby now than anything. Being in the DC area is great for all of the free art galleries and the Kennedy Center.

I grew up sailing and just recently bought my first boat. I am in the process of getting her ready to sail from Cape Cod Mass. to DC in June. I've never sailed a long haul before but its always been on my list of adventures.
