Description:
After You Register We suggest that you visit the Ruby DCamp Wiki to get the most from your Ruby DCamp experience.   About Ruby DCamp At Chad Fowler's opening address to RailsConf '08, he said that he does not perform well in classroom environments. This simple statement became an inspiration. The inspiration grew into an idea. The idea was nurtured by other curious Rubyists and grew into a mailing list. Out of the mailing list grew a plan. From the plan came an event. Up until Ruby DCamp, Ruby conferences have followed the traditional speaker-audience model.  Many of these speakers had the benefit of arriving to Ruby earlier than the rest of us. Since that time, the Ruby community has become communities. These Ruby communities have blossomed due to a great number of ingenious, extremely bright, and talented individuals, early and late comers alike, who are capable of being far more than a passive audience.  Therefore Ruby DCamp seeks to enable these individuals to enrich themselves and one another in the best way possible: by providing a venue where they can decide what matters to them individually and as a group and act upon those interests collectively.
